In this work featuring patterns, I chose four different plants: pine and cypress, chrysanthemums, white carnations, and blue hyacinths to express the theme of "mourning."
The reason for selecting these plants is that they commonly appear in funeral ceremonies, serving as decorations such as wreaths, or their meanings inherently represent a sense of remembrance and affection for the deceased.
Firstly, pine and cypress symbolize endurance and eternity, often used as background and decoration in funerals to convey blessings for the departed. Secondly, chrysanthemums represent resilience, nobility, and longevity, expressing respect for the deceased. Thirdly, white carnations symbolize deep affection and sincere love, often given to lost loved ones. Lastly, blue hyacinths represent deep sorrow and grief for the departed. The pale blue petals evoke a sense of nostalgia and comfort, signifying an everlasting longing for the deceased.
