Concept description

Chrysanthemums, as an auspicious symbol of Chinese cultural tradition, have appeared in the public eye through poetry since the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties period. Since then, they have also been frequently used in porcelain and embroidery. With the development of the times, they have evolved into tens of thousands of varieties, and as an enduring theme material, they have long been present in our artistic creation and daily life.

Chrysanthemums are a representative of natural elegance, and their beautiful petals and rhythmic arrangement provide a strong visual experience, which is why I chose them as my theme.

Each theme uses flower buds, growth, and flowering as a creative process, and employs unique combinations to combine the simple and complex forms of chrysanthemums. I used a different visual approach, using the dark parts of the background to highlight the bright parts of the flowers and make them the focal point of the picture, thus creating a consistent visual experience for the four chrysanthemum patterns.
