The theme is "Hua" , which means prosperity. The prosperity of the family requires longevity (Ling Zuo), happiness and auspiciousness (Lotus), wealth (Mudan), and strength and perseverance (Plum). These four patterns are all based on the Chinese people’s expectations for the family, so the plant patterns I chose mainly symbolize auspiciousness, longevity, wealth, and strength. First, I referred to the main plant patterns in the traditional decoration of Shili Hongzhuang: Ganoderma lucidum (longevity), Mudan flower (wealth), lotus (luck), and plum blossom (strength). These four plants symbolize the couple's long-lasting marriage and the family's wealth, strength, happiness and good luck. In addition, I added a sub-pattern to the background. The sub-pattern mainly uses ginseng and ivy to represent longevity. The composition of the secondary pattern is based on Tai Chi, symbolizing the cycle of Yin and Yang and endless life. The background is mainly composed of four identical patterns, and the composition is in the shape of a yin-yang fish.
