I chose the word "Art" as my theme because I hope to demonstrate the meaning and importance of "Art". It highlights the diversity of Chinese culture and the background of different art histories. Therefore, I think this theme brings out the most representative aspects of Chinese culture, such as: ceramics, dance, plants and calligraphy. These are all inspired by first impressions of Chinese culture, the most characteristic ceramics, the diversity of traditional Chinese dances, the layout and aesthetics of plants in traditional Chinese gardens, and the various styles and artistic values of calligraphy, which hopefully expand on China's most iconic cultures and customs.

Inspired by the chrysanthemum, one of the four famous flowers in Chinese tradition, I chose "苦菊" to express the process of inner transformation of a gentleman and show his strong will. Gentlemen experience wavering, struggle, wake up, and suddenly enlightened four courses. In my work, I compare the chrysanthemum to a gentleman, and the mandala flower is "苦", representing the inner pain and struggle of the gentleman. The external factor that shakes the gentleman is the arrow that shoots through the chrysanthemum, and the gentleman experiences inner struggle and pain, which are eroded by the mandala flower. But his heart made him rekindle his will, and he began to no longer suffer from the trouble of datura. Finally, he opened himself up.
"苦" is a taste and an emotion, reminiscent of inner loneliness or pain. In 《書·洪范》, it is mentioned that “苦“ tastes like coptis bile. And in 《孟子梁惠王上》also refers to pain. There are also feelings of distress, loneliness, and distress. The original meaning of "古" is bitter cabbage, "苦" in the seal script for plant combined with ancient, the original meaning of the character is found to taste like coptis ancient plants. "菊" is a traditional Chinese famous flower, which means "good self and noble character". The words are composed of "艸" and "匊".
